Surgical Watch Works

Nationwide mail-in service

What happens to your watch

Sending a fine watch through the mail should feel safe, not stressful. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you reach out to the moment it's back on your wrist — and you can follow each stage live on the order tracker.

  1. 01

    Ship your watch

After your repair request is accepted you'll receive detailed packing and insured-shipping instructions. Fully insured carriers only, signature required on delivery — your watch is covered from your door to the bench.

  2. 02

    Assessment

The watch is photographed on arrival, inspected under magnification, and its movement examined. You receive a written condition report — what's worn, what's original, and what it needs.

  3. 03

    Your quote

A fixed quote with photographs, itemized by operation. Nothing is opened beyond inspection and no work begins until you approve. If you decline, the watch comes back to you — no fee for looking.

  4. 04

    The service

Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, replacement of worn components, lubrication with the correct oils for each pivot, and reassembly — under the same discipline as a surgical field: clean bench, gloves, one watch at a time.

  5. 05

    Regulation & testing

The movement is timed in multiple positions and monitored over several days. Water resistance is pressure-tested where applicable. It ships only when it holds spec.

  6. 06

    The return

Final photographs, a written record of all work performed, insured return shipping with tracking — and a watch that's ready for another few decades.

Ready when you are.
