Surgical Watch Works is a one-person workshop. This page explains, plainly, what information we collect when you use this site and send us a watch, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and return shipping address.
• About your watch: brand, model, your description of the issue, photos you upload, the replacement value you declare, and your service preferences.
• Your authorization: the statements you agreed to on the shipping form, the name you typed to sign, the date and time, and technical details of the signing (your IP address and browser) so the record can be verified later.
• Service records: our photos of your watch, condition notes, estimates, invoices, and progress updates.

Why

To assess and service your watch, ship it back to you, insure it, keep you informed, keep a record of what you authorized, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We don't use your information for anything else.

Who sees it

Only the people and services needed to do the job:

• Email delivery (Resend, and Gmail) to send you estimates, updates, and copies of what you signed.
• Hosting (Railway) where this site and its order records run.
• Carriers and insurers (FedEx, and our shipping insurer) to create labels, insure, and deliver your watch.
• Payment processors when you pay an invoice; we never see or store your card number.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Photos

Photos of your watch are kept with your order. We publish before-and-after photos only if you opted in on the shipping form, and never with identifying details. Email us to withdraw that permission.

How long we keep it

Order records, including your signed authorization, are kept for at least seven years for warranty, insurance, and tax purposes. Email us if you'd like a copy of your records or want them deleted once that period has passed.

Cookies

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The order tracker and admin pages use your browser's local storage only to remember what you typed.
